Robyn Knox, 51

“Funny thing is –  I didn’t start wearing makeup or getting my hair colored until I was 35. I was happy in my natural state. I then discovered that I enjoy lipstick and being blonder than I pay to be.Yet, it’s not about the outside which is only fancy wrapping paper. As I age, I see the changes and the wrinkles but they are all a part of the process. Attraction and beauty to me are an inside job.”

“I’ve spent 50 years getting really comfortable in this body!” Robyn Knox was photographed and interviewed in 2022 at the age of 51 by Rachel Hadiashar at the portrait studio in Sherwood, Oregon.

Need a salsa dancing partner or someone to wrap your Christmas presents before December 24th? Well then Robyn is not your gal! However, if you are searching for someone to laugh real hard with, enjoy a cup of coffee alongside a cat named Phil or even daydream of new business ideas, you have found that person in Robyn. A deep well of wisdom and love, sprinkled in with wit and sarcasm, she is known as ‘Disneyland’ to her friends. A party of one, Robyn finds herself looking at a glass half full, even if in reality only a couple drops exist. With this vivacious outlook, Robyn would love to tell her younger self to ‘dream bigger.’ After the economy took a nose dive in 2008, her self-built company of a financial and accounting recruiting firm also went with it. Since that time, Robyn has lived out what she innately feels like her life’s purpose: coaching, consulting, and training.

In 2015, Robyn hosted a women’s leadership conference at the Allison Inn and Spa. Earlier that year she asked herself what she would attempt to accomplish if she knew it wouldn’t fail. The answer was a room full of women sharing time, food, and experience in a gorgeous, peaceful setting to recharge and reconnect with themselves and one another. The name of the event was Inspire + Aspire. During the post-event happy hour, Robyn looked around the room to observe and realize her dream. She felt beautiful both inside and out. Another transformational moment that made Robyn feel that she was coming out of her cocoon was on March 13, 2020. The whole world was shutting down as she embarked with courage on a new life, realizing that her marriage of 25-years had come to its end. It was a true moment of undoing – slowing down and processing who she truly was and what she wanted to become. The result is a feeling of true strength and total beauty inward that is reflected outwards as well.

Since that time, Robyn has gone deep into yoga and forged a new romantic relationship with someone she met in class. “Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Don’t ask, don’t get.”  If you get to have a one-on-one conversation with Robyn, ask her to give you her TED talk on Influence as a Noun. It’s delicious.
