“Life is what we make it!”
Open-minded, caring, and resilient, Carrie finds the positive in challenging situations. She believes the most rewarding thing about getting older is the ability to look back at all life’s experiences, to learn from them, and to know that there is so much more to come.
Happiest around her friends and family, her greatest loves in her life are her children and grandchildren and the time she gets to spend connecting with family. As a nurse, and with a lifelong career in healthcare, Carrie deeply cares about each and every one of her patients. After taking a year and half off of work due to contracting long COVID in March 2020, she has returned to work as a nurse.
Carrie’s advice to her younger self: “Nothing lasts forever, you can do more than you think, and life is full of ups and downs. Put your seatbelt on.”
Carrie now: “Do the work and show up!”
